Last Thursday evening Shepherd Elementary hosted its annual Science Fair night. Thank you to the event’s coordinators Mrs. Gimmey and Mrs. Dodick and congratulations to all student participants!!

A HUGE "shout out" to Mrs. Antcliff for leading our SHS students this past weekend! Our Business Professionals of America students had a very successful trip to Grand Rapids this weekend. Blake Klumpp was 1st in Advanced Interview Skills, Mason Cross was 1st in Interview Skills, Ariel Warner was 3rd in Banking and Finance, and Mikehlah Gimmey was 7th in Interview Skills. Blake, Mason, and Ariel all qualified to compete at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX in May. All seven students attending the conference were able to compete in a variety of contests, attend a college fair, attend a formal dinner session, participate in Legacy Launchers which focused on professional networking, communication, workplace skills, problem solving, and strategies for being successful in all aspects of life, and network and meet students from all over the state.

Hats of to Chief Sawyer for assisting and to our principals for allowing our students to manage such patriotic tasks as raising and lowering our flags each day!

There is a board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the middle/high school media center. ALL PUBLIC IS WELCOME!

Shepherd Public Schools would like to recognize Shai Curtiss for her 4th place finish in the 110 pound Women's bracket at the Wrestling State Championship for 2022. Congrats!!!

Shepherd Public Schools would like to recognize Carly Judge for winning the 2022 MITCA Overcoming Obstacles Award! Congrats!

Due to unsafe road conditions Shepherd Schools will be closed today Monday, March 7, 2022.

The Shepherd High School Band did the community proud at the 2022 MSBOA Bands Festival! They performed a dynamic version of "The Thunder," by John Phillips Sousa, followed by an intense version of "Undertow" by John Mackey. Congratulations to Ms. Romano and the band on a spectacular performance!

This accident was terrifying for everyone on the bus, their families, community, and surrounding communities. It is with great thanks that those who sustained injuries in the accident came away with nonlife-threatening injuries. With the accident will come healing, healing of wounds and trauma. By now, you have all likely heard about the bus accident involving Ithaca students that occurred late yesterday. We are deeply thankful no one was seriously hurt. As your school district's superintendent, I am also EXTREMELY thankful to be a part of a school community that loves and cares for your fellow persons like this community does. Please note this message of gratitude from an Ithaca educator, and also know the Ithaca Superintendent of Schools called today expressing the utmost thanks to all the good people of Shepherd.
