Summer “sprucing up” is happening all over! Gyms are being resurfaced, new weight room flooring is being installed, fiber for the cross country course is being put in and here custodians Kaleb and Skip evaluate their next move.



Shepherd Public Schools will have two school board seats up for election in November, and those interested in running need to file with the Isabella County Clerk by July 26 at 4 p.m. to be on the ballot.

There is a board meeting in the middle/high school media center on Tuesday, July 19th at 7:00 pm.

Summer School learners at Winn and Shepherd Elementary is a BLAST!! At least last evening it was a “blast off” as rocketry was the focus of learning!! Thank you to teachers like Mr. Pudell!!




Do law enforcement teams believe school safety is a priority? Our local chief of police, Luke Sawyer does! Today he is hosting statewide training on practicing real life situations that will ultimately save lives!!!




SMS Summer School students learn by doing with a trip to Mackinaw Island today! Lots of fun and fudge as well!!

Legendary bus driver Steve Habedenk, also nicknamed, “Mr. Grumpy Pants,” celebrates his retirement from the district. He will be greatly missed!!!
