COMMUNITY CLEAN UP - CANCELLED
Shepherd High School had planned to hold our annual Community Clean up this afternoon (11/4) but the weather is not cooperating. Our original plan was to use next Thursday ( 11/14) for a rain date but there are a few potential conflicts on the calendar that may require a change in that plan. The High School staff will work through the options and find the best date and relay that information out sometime in the next day or two.

Monday (11/4) is our Community Clean up. Weather permitting, we will be out in the Village from 12:45 - 2:45 raking leaves and cleaning up for the fall. Student group lists will be posted Monday morning on the office windows. Students leaving early still need to check out with the office and we can get in touch with their group to get them back here to be picked up.
If weather on Monday is such that we can not get outside, we will plan to try again on the afternoon of November 14th.
Congratulations to these, Class of 2026, students who were accepted into the Shepherd Early College program.

On Thursday evening (6pm) there will be a financial aid/FAFSA meeting in the media center. If you have a senior who is going on to higher education in the fall this is a meeting that you should plan to attend. If you have questions, please reach out to Mr. Ross.

Today, we honor the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities and to recognize the difficult history of residential schools. Tomorrow we wear orange as a school for these same reasons. Let's stand together in support of healing and reconciliation. Student leadership spent their time particpating in games with all the new students at Shepherd High School this year. They all played games and spent time getting to know each other in the gym. After the gym, they all went to a classroom and enjoyed pizza while the new students were shown a presentation about the school. Welcome, BlueJays!

This morning we had representatives from Mid Michigan College here to assist about 120 of our dual enrollment students. They had a chance to get logged into their accounts and to learn more about what it takes to be a successful dual enrolled students. Thank you Mr. Ross for getting this lined up and our students off to a great start.
