Students, coats and backpacks are not allowed in the classrooms. These items must be put into your lockers. This is a school safety requirement.
Nice job to the 6th, 7th & 8th grade Choirs for their performance at last night's Choir Concert. Everyone sounds great and they have made so much growth since the beginning of the school year. Keep up the great work and keep signing.
There is a sign-up sheet in the office for 7th and 8th grade boys basketball. The first practice will be January 6 at 3:15. There will be an open gym Sunday, Dec 8 from 6-8 for all 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball.

For those that participated in the November Attitude of Gratitude challenge, be sure to turn in your gratitude calendar to Mrs. Gall by the end of the day today (12/6). Mrs. Gall will draw the winning calendars Monday morning and they will be announced during morning announcements.
Today during SOAR with yesterday being a snow day, we have a few things to take care of; All students need to check their 2nd trimester grades in PS and then email parents. You may not have grades in all of your classes, but check and then email parents. We then all have a short student survey that all students are being asked to complete. This survey helps us as a building and a district assess where we are at and how we are doing. This survey should only take 10 minutes to complete. Teachers will also be passing out BlueJay Renaissance Rally Tickets. This Rally is for all students to attend, but only ticket holders will get their name drawn for games and prizes. This rally we are also splitting up by grade level. 6th grade will go during 4th hour, 7th grade goes during 5th hour, and 8th grade will go during 6th hour. Students must first go to their class and then we will release students to the gym by a PA announcement for their Rally.

The wrestling team continued to compete at a high level last night against St Louis and Pinconning. Last night's undefeated wrestlers were; Johnny Verstreate, Ronnie Keihl, Kaleb Schafer, Cruz Dearing, Seth Gilbert, Tommy Mikek, Hunter Johnson, Benny Mathews, Sawyer Huckins
Also earning wins for the team were; Jeremy Riddle, Maverick Bendele, Amelia Hoppe, Thor Henry.
The Wrestling Team's next meet is in Bay City tomorrow.

Due to the boil water advisory that is still in place for the entire village of Shepherd, we have set up a water drinking station outside the counseling office. There are jugs of water, which can be used to fill up your water bottles. We also have plastic water bottles that are available for all students and staff. Students are limited to one bottle of water at a time, and we ask that you throw away bottles once you are finished.

Today, we honor and recognize Veterans Day, a special day to thank and remember all the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. As we go about our day, let's take a moment to reflect on the bravery of our veterans and show appreciation for their service, both past and present. We encourage you to thank a veteran if you know one, and remember that their contributions have made our country stronger.
The wrestling team finished 2nd place at the Ovid Elsie Tournament going 4-1 on the day. Wrestlers will meet in the lobby outside the middle school gym immediately after school today.

You can also bring things like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, paper products, and diapers. Also $1 equals 9 pounds of food.

You'll track your gratitude on a calendar that is available in Mrs. Gall's office. At the end of November, turn in your gratitude calendars. All cast and crew of the musical will be going to A Lunch today and tomorrow. After eating lunch, before dismissing students to go outside, we will dismiss those participating in the musical to go to the Auditorium.
Tomorrow afternoon (11/7) all MS students will be attending a performance of the musical “Charleston.”
Throughout the next few weeks, I will be drawing names from the remaining names in the bucket of names from the Rally last Friday. If your name is drawn, you will come down to the office to select from the prize cart.
