Announcements: Wednesday, April 23... Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams. Last night at their meet at Ogemaw Heights both team beat Ogemaw Heights and Standish-Sterling. The following student-athletes also qualified for the Megastar meet: Casen McMeel in the 70m dash Thor Henry in the Pole Vault Sawyer Huckins in the Shot Put The next MS Track meet is next Tuesday (4/29) at Clare. Mock Rock song approval is due to Mrs. Byrne by tomorrow (4/24). Please email her with your song selection, lyrics, and group member names. Auditions are next week Thursday, May 1st, after school in the auditorium. Tomorrow is a half day of school and we will be on our half-day schedule, with no SOAR class and each class period being approximately 25 minutes. School will be dismissed at 11:00am. Tomorrow (4/24) we will be holding a BlueJay Renaissance Mid-Trimester Rally. This Rally is where only students who qualify will attend. Today during SOAR all students are to work on their Math IXL Recommended Skills Today is Administrative Assistants Day, and we want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing secretaries, Ms. Rosie and Ms. Heather, for everything they do to keep our school running smoothly. From helping students and teachers to keeping things organized in the office, we appreciate them more than words can say!. After school starts on Monday, the gates to the Baseball/Softball parking lot (off of 2nd Street) will be closed for the rest of the week. Please plan accordingly for pick up and drop off, using 3rd Street to get into the Main High School lot.

The nice weather that we are going to have today will make for a much better track meet than the cold weather that is expected for tomorrow. This afternoon, at the end of 5th hour we will all be going to the auditorium for a preview of the HS Musical Matilda. This preview will last until the end of 6th hour. During the performance, you are not to bring your Chromebooks or any other items or devices. During SOAR today: 8th Graders - You will be preparing for the PSAT8 Testing. Use the restroom, fill your water bottles, make sure you have your Chromebook, but all other electronics include phones and smart-watches are put in your lockers. Your SOAR teacher will also tell you where you will be testing. Announcements: Friday, March 21... Beginning when we return from Spring Break (3/31) energy drinks will not be allowed in the building between 7:40am and 3pm. If you have any energy drink cans or containers, it will be confiscated. We will be having BlueJay Renaissance Rally’s in the gym this afternoon by grade level that all students will attend. 6th Grade will be during 4th hour 7th grade will be during 5th hour 8th grade will be during 6th hour Students are to go to their classroom for that class period for attendance before being released to the Rally. Students who qualified for a ticket MUST have their ticket with them in order to participate win prizes. During each of the grade level Rally’s the other 2 grade levels will continue with their regular class schedule. During SOAR teachers will be passing out BlueJay Renaissance tickets to students who qualified and then we will be going out to lockers to do a locker cleanout.
