September 16, 2021
Shepherd Elementary School Parents,
Due to the fact that Shepherd Elementary has reached a 1% positivity rate for COVID-19, effective Friday, September 17, 2021, masks will be mandatory for all students, staff, and visitors while inside our building. This mask requirement will be in place until the positivity rate in our building drops below 0.5%, which at this time will end on Monday, September 27, 2021. This notice applies to the Shepherd Elementary building only at this time.
Our school board policy requires all individuals to begin universal masking in order to help mitigate the spread of the virus while inside our building. We will continue to use all of our other protocols throughout the day. If your child does not come to school with a mask, one will be provided to them.
If your child is not currently being quarantined due to a direct exposure at home or here at school, but you decide to keep them out of school, your child will be marked absent.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy. Please continue to screen your child each day for any COVID like symptoms. If you have any questions, you may always reach out to the office for additional support.
